This generous contribution goes to the Sea Haven Shelter Home located at 3892 Hwy 9 East in Little River, SC. The money was raised at the 26th Annual Invitational Bass Tournament on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Bucksport Marina in Conway, SC. in memory of Gene Graham, long-time member. For over four years, the club has supported the mission of Sea Haven by advocating for homeless at-risk youth in the community.
Sea Haven offers services to runaway, homeless, at-risk youth ages 13-21 years through four program components: Shelter, Transitional Living, Street Outreach Center/Project Lighthouse, and Project Safe Place. In addition to these programs, Sea Haven has implemented the Combat Hunger project in ten local schools and has initiated the Sea Haven Expanded Mobile Outreach (EMO) project in four rural communities of Horry County. The outreach projects have extended the emergency services of Sea Haven by reaching out to those youth who cannot access the actual facilities. All programs offer emergency crisis intervention and strive to meet the urgent needs of youth in the community.
